Emerson joined MicaGenix in 2005, bringing with him considerable experience in the field. This experience includes decades of work in leadership and management positions with Eli Lilly and Company. While taking on various roles within the Research Division of Lilly, his efforts were directed at the discovery and development of new products.
As the leader of a number of research product development teams at Lilly, Emerson was responsible for many IND and NDA submissions and claim approvals through the FDA. Additionally, he served in various management positions and retired after 10 years as director of project management for Lilly’s animal health division, Elanco.
Emerson’s degrees include: bachelor of science, Michigan State University; master of science, Ohio State University; Ph.D., animal nutrition and physiology, Michigan State University.
He is the author of some 30 research papers and has extensive experience with regulations governing the FDA’s approval of drugs.
